Management Team
Stephen Mc Hugh (CEO) CPIM
Stephen has been working with the QAD® system and the Progress® 4GL language and database since December of 1989. As an employee at QAD Inc. starting in 1989, Stephen gained an intimate knowledge of the software enterprise solution QAD. During his tenure at QAD, Stephen refined his skills in the areas of support, customization, training, and software engineering. In addition, Stephen installed all aspects of QAD and was an integral part of the development team in the following QAD modules:
- Repetitive Manufacturing
- Operations Planning
- Quality Control
- Lot Reference Traceability
In October 1993, Stephen founded the company Broom Street Software specializing in Progress 4GL programming in concert with QAD implementations and customizations. With many success stories and accolades, Stephen has proven to be an integral part of the implementation phase to many large and small operations. The Progress and the QAD community has recognized his talents and expertise, which have been verified by numerous successful implementations, customizations, and products in various vertical markets.
Martin Cohen (COO) and Partner
Martin has been working in the Software Development and Integrated Circuit Engineering industry since 1990.
Currently he serves as Partner and COO of Broom Street Software that focuses on implementing, customizing, maintaining and training of the QAD ERP system.
Martin also served as the IT Manager for an international Integrated Circuit Engineering company for five years that is currently a worldwide leader in the design, development and marketing of silicon timing devices for a number of high-growth application segments. Other experience includes Quality Assurance and Configuration Management positions in the Software Engineering arena.
Martin has a BA from LaSalle University with a focus in EE from Penn State University as well as various certifications relating to ERP/MRP/Service related systems.
He currently serves on the Advisory Board as Co-Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science for LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA.
He has also served on the Board of Directors of a startup consumer electronics company, Aerielle. He raised startup capital to help facilitate company growth. He also assisted with strategic decisions regarding the course of action for the company, i.e. establishing objectives, formulating policy and approving goals and programs. He performed advisory functions while protecting investments through continuing review of the assets and evaluation of the financial and management practices. He also provided guidance on and review of corporate operations to ensure ongoing appropriateness.
In addition, Martin has two US patents (1, 2) in the space of consumer electronics.
Mark J. Mosley, MCSE RHCE (Senior Technical Consultant)
Mark has over 10 years of experience working with enterprise networks and server systems. He holds certifications from Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, and Cisco Systems. Since 1998, he has worked in various engineering roles for organizations such as American Express, GE Capital, and Computer Sciences Corporation. Beginning in 2001, Mark served as a full time consultant for the Department of Defense where he worked on a large scale implementation of a VPN network for over 80 military sites.
In recent years, Mark has spent most of his time providing various IT consulting services for manufacturing companies. This includes support for ERP systems, enterprise servers, and network infrastructure.
